So the time has come. Due to the project's financial problems we have to move everything to free services, however keine panic and stay tuned the project is not going anywhere, only the files do

I have already moved the SVN to sourceforge, scripts are now part of the main repo.

    The new SVN is: https://arcemu.svn.s...svnroot/arcemu/

Further news will be posted here!

Website and forums will be moved to a new host as well. So expect services interruption for a few hours while the new DNS settings are propagated.

Hasbro : (16 August 2010 - 01:35 PM) Bill has been payed, thank you to those who contributed.
2 days later it's paid.... so why the change to free hosting?(legal troubles perhaps... someone jumping on their asses for copyright infringement?

something is fishy, considering the financial state of arcemu is supposedly "sound" before all of this.... and no fanboism -.- this is meant as a legit discussion

; which understanding they run multiple realms for "supporting the project" .... who here thinks that downgrading or chopping off and consolidating monetary drains is a good idea?*raises hand*

    edit:
Don't know about you but having a decent home connection of even 100kb/s (i ran 2 realms 25 people each lag free on 80kb/s u/d) is enough for 30 people to test what they need to on and off. mind you that was a 25$/month bill....

I agree with Remus, a test server is a good idea however not needed really as they can range from say $40+ per month which makes their monthly costs increase. If they offered ad space on their site for wow servers who would run a test realm or have a realm running it un modded then they could not have to fork out lots of $$ to 'figure' out bugs.

I like your investigative torque, however this month was supposedly 130USD, which didn't get paid. Various members have also been pushing for the bill to be lowered by any means necessary. 90-150$ a month is a ridiculous amount for any OS project.
