Well, due to controversy over rule #4 (the item rule) I've thought of an alternative. I'm willing to devote a stickied thread for the sole purpose of items. So instead of having a thousand mini threads with like 5 to 10 items, we can compile them all into one massive one. Rep will given out accordingly aswell.

I come in here every once in a while to look at World Edits(I think thats what they are called) and I just see pages of things like 1 item swap or something and It's impossible to find other kinds of things...

My opinon doesnt exactly matter much here but just an "outsiders" perspective on ME board.

I don't agree.

This won't solve players from posting their wow-v items here in random threads.

What I think would help, is instead of a thread, devote a new section to items. it could cover,

Custom Items (players submit)
How to create items (sql) basic
How to enhance custom weapons (players add good/usefull spells/ids/ etc to weapons).


I think this would gather a new crowd of people. We have scripters, packers, coders, and I think if we had teams of people just creating weapons/armor in a new section; it would be both more maintained as well as player friendly.

One massive post = lots of junk posts and useless filler replies. An entire section o various 'art's of item creation I would prefer to see on MMOWNED.

Newsflash; your 2-3 custom items are no good. Anybody can spend 20 mins making 5 items that are uber and ridiculous, or even fair and legit. I +Rep those who dedicate hours to creating a series of items. Spending that much time and dedication to hone their items is special.

I don't want to hear about the awesome 3 weapons you made. I want to hear about the awesome 204 items.

That's also an problem, people may've been spending hours doing alot of items, but the still suck! If someone makes a small series with custom cool things, that's cool. But like someone who makes a Tier 7 with just über stats, with a stupid and ugly looking design don't deserv rep!

i think people will still make threads in the emu discussion with items....
even if you give infractions...Rules don't stop people :-/
i like the section suggestion... but a section with a few subsections maybe...?
items, repacks, other or something...

I agree with the fact that good topics get moved to page 2-3-4 becuz the spam-rain of question topics, that sucks :-/

This is a hard topic... there is no perfect answer for this.... but the topic idea doesn't sound good to me.... i mean people using "search" will have problems finding stuff back then too... i think it would cause more confusion, problems and wrong posts then we have now....

Here is another suggstion:
make a items topic for item releases containing less then 10items and the other releases can use a thread?

bleh, hard to solve this i think....

as i said, for me the emu rule was better then a topic...
