[1.14.4.51335] Question in regards to creatures and quest items

Not quite finding an answer at this moment for how I can correlate a quest item from a creature that it drops for quest status... For example, when starting off as a night elf, the quest to kill Grell's for them to drop the Fel Moss for the quest "The Woodland Protector".

I've identified ways for me to track quest completion status by the active player quest log, tied with the quest cache, however I don't see any relation to the item dropped from creatures to get this going... I'm avoiding having to do any external database/linkages (if possible). If someone happens to know, that would be great.

Hopefully the title with the build helps people understand it's for Classic too, and don't try to say stuff that didn't exist until like cata+

Loot tables aren't available to the client. You'll need to scrape some data from emulators, or from an addon like Questie.

That's what I feared from what I've been seeing. Was hoping that someone came across something though since the client isn't exactly the same as back then
