Chat is receiving banned messages too

Hello,

since some of my RBG team will not install a damn microphone, i had to write a TTS software to be able to hear them real time.

Thanks to you guys i was able to do this from noob status in only 2 days and is working beautiful.

My problem is: banned spammers still shows in my 60 messages. Tried to figure out a way from the format:

Msg: Type: [17], Channel: [Trade - City], Player Name: [Veidt], Sender GUID: [01000000038FB747], Active player: [010000000467BAB5], Text: [mage ]

to identify a difference, but i failed. 'Active player' is different between a banned and not banned player, but this also changes with every session.

Any ideas ?

If you're restricted to memory-reading only:

Easiest solution is to filter the chat in your application on either a black/whitelist or based on frequence. If you want to work with wow's list of banned players you'll have to reverse the lua function(s) responsible for channel bans. (You may find a relevant function the wowapi pages, if not you'll have to look at Blizzard's UI code - the lua files responsible for the UI are in the mpq's somewhere)

If you're 'injected', you can subscribe to the lua events for chat, they should only fire for 'true' chat messages.
