I was having problems with some undocumented functions in Windows and found myself digging into ReatOS again. Whilst not directly related to WoW I figured posting a link here would be of use to some people who didn't know about the project. Its an awesome source of information on the internals of Windows.

If you ever wanted to know about the implementation of Windows APIs/features/etc this would be the first port of call I'd recommend, much faster than reversing the function from scratch yourself.

Its not a book, its an open source operating system designed to be compatible with Windows (the NT kernel, XP/2003).

Its useful if you're a developer using undocumented APIs, want to know how certain things are implemented, etc.

Its not something you just "read" though.

So if i am right there trying to copy and make a free version of windows (Kinda)
It seems cool but will take longer to iron out everything and get DirectX working up to speed. Which may be one of the hardest things.

Pretty cool. I remember ReactOS from years ago (maybe four years ago), but I completely forgot about them.

Windows binary compatibility must be such a huge undertaking.

I tried the vmware version of this, and it blue-screened on first bootup. I'd say they're emulating windows a little _too_ well
