Working on a free altarnative to the remote chat :>
Got a new rig a couple of days ago. Cable management is currently a cluster****, but I'll get around to that once I've finished reinstalling everything and getting set back up. Also haven't finished the overclocking, but it runs nice and cool at 4.2Ghz with no modifications to voltages. Want to get it higher, but I need to wait for my replacement fans for the H100, and I also need to set aside some time to play with it (which I simply don't have at the moment).
Anyway...
Specs:
Case: Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition
CPU: Intel Core i7 3930k (@ 4.2Ghz)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100
Motherboard: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580 Ultra Durable 3GB x 2
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz CL10 32GB (4 x 8GB)
SSD: Crucial M4 512GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB x 2 (RAID1)
PSU: Corsair AX1200
Optical: Lite-On iHBS212 12x BluRay Writer
Monitor: BenQ XL2420T 24" 120hz 3D x 3
Mouse: Saitek Cyborg RAT 7 Contagion
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Mechanical
Headset: ASUS ROG Vulcan ANC
Pics (Like I said, it's a mess atm, but I'll fix all that up later . Besides, just going to wait for the replacement fans, as I'm going to replace the current case fans and add another one - and of course replace the fans on the cpu cooler - which will require me to strip a lot of the machine anyway.):

Kudos on the 4-600Dollar Case. :-O
It looks awesome.
Seems like you build a freaking beast of a machine there. ;-)
@Cypher awesome Setup,costs quite a lot i guess
just a little question. do you really need 3 screens? ofc it's nice to have more space, but i usually tend to have one screen for messengers, surfing,VS,debugger etc and the other one(just have 2 myself) for my game.

And I thought Robske's setup was ridiculous.
streppel: wtf man
I definitely prefer 3 screens over two. I have my main work on the centre screen (codenz etc), TV or w/e on the right screen, and auxillary work stuff on the left screen (browser, IDA, whatever). Also, they're all 120hz 3D-capable monitors, which I don't care for, but the girlfriend likes occasionally.
Plus, 5760x1080 gaming at 120hz is sexy as ****. Not gonna buy two GTX580s and let them sit there bored.
ah,was just curious
i hope when i'm done with university i can afford a setup like this

That system will set you back around 6k lols... Nice system but over kill for me
Looks pretty badass. I personally find that gaming at those resolutions (5760x1200 here) is much worse than 1920x1200. Most games tend to look ****ed up and you have the borders of the monitors ruining a great deal.
What does Nvidia have that lets you run that resolution btw? I seem to remember them not having anything that could do that (and you needed to get a TripleHead2go). AMD has EyeFinity.
[16:15:41] Cypher: caus the CPU is a dick
[16:16:07] kynox: CPU is mad
[16:16:15] Cypher: CPU is all like
[16:16:16] Cypher: whatever, i do what i want
May I ask why do bought 580 instead of 7970 or didnt wait for Kepler?
Triple monitor master race reporting in.
I have recently bought a system (couple of months back) with similiar specs (2600k, 16Gb 1833, SLI GTX 580, 256 SSD, 2TB WD Black). The Corsair cooler (I have the H50 due to case restraints) has served me very well. It's a blast to game (and dev) on. And as MaiN said, most games scale horribly with multiple monitors, the ones I found most enjoyable are BF3, AC:R and even WoW.
Oh and your font became a bitch to read.
Edit: apperantly, so is mine.
