CMSG_GOSSIP_HELLO has no range checks on retail, so yes. But you cannot open vendor menu, set hearthstone or anything.
Finally did a proper implementation of my EditBox:

Late night crazy
Thanks to Darklinux for the awesome music
There's no stealth detection hack!
Back from the dead I see. So why has everyone posted that the info is not sent to the client when in stealth? Is it? Or are you manually requesting something from the server? Look kool and would love to know +rep
I'm forcing the server to send movement updates. This would also work with game masters if you know their guid.
Sadly it's not working with units, so I can't see any hidden npcs like waypoints, even if I bruteforce the guid
Hah on TC2 pservers it used to be possible to send CMSG_SET_ACTIVE_MOVER to see stealthers provided you knew their GUID, which would also bypass any stealth level(admin etc.).
But that was the least usefull thing that little packet could achieve...
Funniest & most inconspicuous use of said packet was manipulating target's moveflags, stand on dalaran flight platform & make people fall to their deaths by toggling their flymode off.
Or go to some faction's spawning area and let those poor noobs fly. Could've probably been used to get a lot of people banned at that time for speedhacking/tp-hacking/whatever.
Almost done with my new tool, “ChatCraft”, beta.
HTTP-Server which reads the chat messages from WoW and publishes them in the root directory.
It’s also possible to post messages back to WoW through the webinterface.
It alerts people when (for example botting) they receive a whisper, or when their name is mentioned in chat.
Also it can alert by using Push-messages to cellular devices and send SMS through a http-enabled-api.

My first attempt in doing something a bit more serious. Just a small sneak-peak of yet unfinished radar.
Coded the object manager myself with a help of a friend, (no fkn BlackRain or WhiteRain).
Leecher --> Member --> Contributor --> Elite --> News Team --> Elite --> Legendary --> Lurkin'
Made a small object manager and then went insane with the background. I'm going to be adding a 'more info' kind of window to it as well but we'll see where this goes. So far, so good
Okay, so with a lot of help from Jadd & Master, I've been able to add CTM navigation to my object manager. I now have a working bot...type...thing.
In action:
I might make a video when he's slightly more advanced
