    [Question] Unstuck?

    Hey guys.

    Just wondering how do you detect if you are stuck?

    I am thinking of using movement speed like this:

    Code:
                    LUA.DoString("Speed = GetUnitSpeed(\"player\");");
                    return Convert.ToSingle(LUA.GetLocalizedText("Speed"));
    How do you guys do this?

    I'm doing what MaiN said: keeping a backlog of (position, timestamp) tuples for the last N frames so that I can calculate the average speed over the last M frames to compensate for "jitter" that occurs when you're running into a steep wall.

    I use the TimeMoved field in the movement struct that all units have. If it's 0, you are standing still or running into something.
