Nothing is "safe" right now. Without a doubt, stay away from Honorbuddy: they've been getting their door kicked in on a regular basis since this expansion launched.
Blizzard is detecting third-party programs at an impressive rate, and there's a lot of speculation at the moment as to how they're doing it. Until their detection methods have been identified (to a reasonable extent), there's no telling how they're targeting bots and how to keep yourself safe.
As always, bot at your own risk, and never do it on an account you care about losing. Hard times for automation software right now.

No bot is safe nowadays.
Most bots (or maybe all) received banwaves in the last week.
First one was 6 days ago, affecting mostly Honorbuddy, EWT, Noob and WRobot,
Then last night FireHack and SBR got hit as well.
So as some guys suggested in the other similar threads - do not bot on account, you afraid to loose.
But looking from another point, its better to bot, then manually playing, if you are seasoned player like those of us, playing WoW since early vanilla in 2005.
I would never play manually like before - neither have the time, or desire to do the same repeatable stuff again and again for dozens of times.
The last tactic I used seems quite successful - just "rotate" your mains: Once one receive 6 months, switch to other, once it receive 6 months, the other would be up for playing, aka botting.
If you are lucky, you would not receive banwave in the next 5-6 months, so if you can afford it, you can just add 3rd WoW to the Battle.net and x-fer the first one, so once its banned again, it would be for 6 months only again.
Nowadays have 3 x 18 months, one 6 months in my main Battle.net and 2 ban-free licenses with X-fered main toons.

Don't like it? Don't bot. And don't post questions outside the questions and requests forum.

Nail in the coffin. If you only want to play WoW with a bot, then you shouldn't play cause you're going to get banned. If you got the money and patience with leveling up over and over again, then bot.
