Pirox 2.0.3 Loots with no fish/too soon/instantly.

Downloaded old version of Pirox (2.0.3) to run on a Vanilla server. When the bot runs it just instantly loots. Ive screen captured and taken the pixels of the splash but this seems to make no difference - sometimes it will then catch one and then goes back to instantly looting after finding the bobber.

Guides say to capture the moment of splash (which I have done) and to then capture the pixels of a "darkened" area, but I cannot find this. I have attempted using the white of the splash, the bottom of the bobber and both feathers.

Also when setting up I cannot use the Pirox interface to capture the red or blue on the bobber either - I hit get color and right click the color to use and it comes back with the water color every single time.

Any suggestions or alternatives?
