Cant someone make a "Bruteforce" thingie to just find out a key? :P

It could take months to find a code as big as a glider key by brute forcing (the electricity bill from leaving the computer on would exceed the value of the key) .

Okay, now I don't want to have to be the raincloud on this parade because it is a good idea, but I'm a fellow glider who paid for my key....I'm just wondering, because Mercury uses the funding from the sales of their glider keys to further their technology and provide ever-needed updates, thereby saving us from the watchful eye of Warden....what will happen when suddenly everyone has glider for free?

Not to mention, if Mercury somehow got wind of this, I don't think they'd be too happy at all....what do you think the consequences would be? (Strike, refusal of updates, so on and so forth)

I'm just saying, Merc is already busting their arse for us; why steal from them?

Then you also can say : Why steal from blizzard ? They made a huge game, for players who are their for fun and then bots are ruining the economic on servers ... every day blizzard is trying to make their game better and greater...

I have a server up via Hamachi if anyone wants to test Logon to: formmo, pass: formmo. Add a new line in C:\WIndows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

You need me to add your host in the allow file, so please give me a little msg first. (This is done for security reasons)

You dont have to give away your glider key...

You simply edit your hosts file, and put in a 12 character string in Launchpad (Can be whatever you want).

Then restart launcher, volah!

I heard Glider is going to be shutting down soon is what ive heard from numerous people. The reason they made elite, is so they they can get as much money as they can before they lose the case with Blizzard, which will shut down glider.

EXAMPLE OF GLIDER & FRIENDS SETUP:


SERVER:::

Extract Glider & Friends to e.g C:\gfriends

Open KEY.INI and insert the key you want the clients to validate with.

SAVE IT.

Now, run GF.EXE (Make sure port 80 is available)




If everything is okay, thats good


Check your IP address by clicking Start -> Run -> ipconfig

Now find the IP address of your current connection (Lets say: 10.0.0.123.



CLIENTS:::

Go to: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\
Open HOSTS with notepad

Add a new line: 10.0.0.123 ww w.mmoglider.com.
Note that the IP your typing in MUST be the server ip address, orelse you will fail.

If you want to share via Internet, go to WhatIsMyIP.com, and add: your_external_ip Glider

Make sure that port 80 is forwarded to the machine where Glider & Friends are hosted.

However, if they do, they should make it open source so ppl can contribute with security patches, etc..
