Glider: Common Sense and You

Im just curious is glider detectible? All this talk about it makes me think more about gettin it and im just wondering what are my chances of gettin caught if i was to run it with commen sense.

hey all, i have been browsing this fine site for sometime and figured it was time i post. How exactly does glider work, i presume it is used to level a character without human input, I would love to have 1-2 more toons at 70 before WotLK comes out, but dont have the time to level them...any input?

basically what it does is play the game for. It doesn't do quests so it's all grinding mobs. Basically what you do is make a profile (ie path to walk, mobs to kill) and you run that profile till the mobs are yielding no xp or you could move somewhere else. You can also set up ghost walks for if you die it'll run you back and rez and continue.

there are public profiles but i like to make my own (it takes like 10 minutes to set up one) Theres things to remember like gliding in a low traffic area's/non quest mobs. Coasts work great IMO. usually no quests out there and lots of sand crawlers which are yellow so they don't auto attack you.


I would highly recommend getting glider elite if you only have one computer. You will be able to have it run background mode which will let you do other things (play another account or game or surf the web/watch tv you get the idea) Also i would highly recommend not using your "main" account unless you are 100% willing to lose it. (i know my shaman/druid account wont ever see a bot seeing as i would lose soooo much) A botted toon gets the account banned. Its a risk vs reward thing but IMO if you wanted to bot up a toon like a warrior then do it on another account. Let it sit idle for a few weeks then transfer it over to your main account.



But yeah in short...don't be stupid. Take the time to research the best area's to grind (ie low pop area's). set up glider correctly and it's pretty safe but like anything it can get banned. YOu'll hear different htings about public vs your own profiles....honestly it shouldnt matter which you use but if your gonna bot at 70 i would just make your own so you get the basic's down early

Thanks for the input, I have 3 computers, and 2 accounts (one is my wifes) so at this point i think im just gonna suck it up and grind out 40 more levels on my shaman. I have a 70 epicd hunter already so i would not want to jeopardize that for botting. Thanks for the input though.
