Unfortunately, that it how our subscription system is. Shadow Goblin is an addon subscription to Shadow Bot, so you need to have an active Shadow Bot subscription in order to use Shadow Goblin.

    12,98$ / month ?
Or I could use PQR, for free?

you can, but i'd like this thread to focus on the use of Shadow Goblin/Shadow Bot during this promotion and subsequent feedback, rather than a discourse on how much it costs to use our products.

You've already made the first comparison with PQR. PQR is free.

I'm not here to bash your product. You used a project that is "up to date" against a PQR profile that is heavily dated. Don't misinform the general public about the better bot or program. Both bots are fully-featured. It comes down to the profiles that make one better than another. Don't get me wrong. I tried Shadow Goblin during the promo. Is it better than quality PQR profiles from what I've seen? No. On a target dummy it can follow a MAXDPS guideline and spam cooldowns. In real raids the generic profiles do not have the capability of capitalizing on things such as raid dynamics (boss or player buffs & debuffs, etc) that a PQR profile can provide and remain easily editable.

I used to use ShadowBot near when it first came out and stopped using it for a couple of reasons. the main one being that yes you guys were releasing new features, but key basic functionality kept getting broken and we had to wait 3 weeks to get it fixed. I used it mainly for gathering and the number of times the mailbox didnt work or it wouldn't pick up certain things made me give up in the end. Also I was waiting for more progress on the quest front. When it did work properly the bot was great though.

On the Goblin side i decided to give it a little test. Am I incorrect in assuming you're basically charging for JPS + a lua unlocker and the rotations ? I decided to test the elemental shaman one against my own PQR profile, freely available here ([PQR] Mavmins' Elemental Shaman)

I ran 5 x tests on each scenario to 40M damage on a raiders dummy
    No Heroism, no additional buffs

    Goblin - NO CDS - 40M Average DPS 106.3K
    Mavmins - NO CDS - 40M Average DPS 107.2k

Not much in it there, 3-4k is prolly down to RNG

Goblin - Auto CDS - Average DPS 114.2k
Mavmins - Auto CDS - Average DPS 140,1k

    thats not RNG

the multi target tests were on 4 targets

Goblin - Multi Target - Average DPS 226.6k
Mavmins - Multi target - Average DPS 284.3

I could tell you exactly why but then you'd be making money off my advice Not to mention all the additional features in my PQR profile such as specific raid functionality etc, Goblin seems like poor value to me so thats my feedback. I wouldn't pay extra for it but it would be a nice shadowbot feature if it was inclusive.

I would recommend Shadowbot to anyone who wants to use gathering (assuming it works properly atm not had chance to test) and the peace of mind with it being passive. It made me a lot of gold when I did use it.

Thanks for the feeback guys, it's appreciated. The great thing about PQR / Goblin is that they both allow very high customizability. No argument there. The comparison with your excellent PQR Mavmins shaman and that of the out of the box Goblin is proof to what I am saying. The one we use for the basic Shaman is just that, basic. It can be modified to your own liking and would probably do as much as PQR or more. (I will check out your rotation when I am done making this post )

Yes, Shadowbot is Passive and that is the main reason for its success. It takes 10 times longer to code things and is a pain in the ass on the development side. But, it is what it is.

I read people bitching about our price model and thats fine. We are about to announce a new price model for those who are just interested in the Goblin as well as a combo package that gives you all of our bot products (Goblin / Pocket Gnome / Shadowbot and a new game that we are about to dive into botting on but we are not going to tell anyone about yet ).

Once again, thanks for the feedback and I look forward to seeing you on our forums!

Is there a guide for Goblin anywhere, as in over and above the basic this is what the 4 buttons do ? I'd be interested to play around with it as there are some things PQR doesn't do that maybe it does ? it took me a while to learn the basic lua for PQR as im not a great coder but I'd like a look under the hood

And if I needed to bot gather again, I would 100% use shadowbot
