I've been looking for a step by step guide for SSH tunneling WoW for a while now. My friend plays on a wireless connection and gets terrible lag, but I live like 20 miles from him on a cable connection and get 20-30ms ping to my server. If he can SSH tunnel through me, awesome. There's no way in hell I'd pay for an SSH shell though just to play wow with a lower ping though.

Try to leave the advanced tab blank. (make sure to press Save), then try to reconnect.

Problem solved for this guy. Appeared his Virusscanner / Firewall stopped pingbuster from putting stuff into the registry. Will forward this to make sure this wont happen again.

App updated to 1.04. Quote from their forums:
Indeed, as of 1.04 additional checks are done to make sure PingBuster is able to initialize.
If not it will pop-up an error message and will undo every configuration.
So if you are still having issues to connect, feel free to update to 1.04 and see if you still get errors.

I have to use something similar to this since my college blocks the internet from allowing high bandwidth things and large games such as wow. I was wondering would this work for other programs as well? I cant ventrillo working through the walk through you used for wow and was wondering if there is something else i must do or what can be done.

using for wow works for me, just havent got vent working yet.

Yes, this works for ventrilo too. Just add ventrilo.exe in proxycap and you're done (not sure if ventrilo needs other exes too be tunneled, but try vent(rilo).exe first).
