It was some time ago since I was active here at mmowned so I thought that I would share a tiny tip for botting.
We all know that when botting it is safer to set the bot to turn the computer of at a specific time, so that you are not botting like 9 hours straight when at sleep, I mean you can bot for that long but the safety of your account goes down.
Another time when this is useful is if you are botting before the weekly maintenance and want the computer to shut down when you get disconnected.
The major bots have got this feature implented already, but if you for some reason want it outside of the bot, for use with bots that do not have that function (like homemade scripts or fishing bots) or maybe for downloads that is going to end during the night then this is for you.
It is a gadget for Windows Vista and Windows 7 that is very easily customized in seconds to shut down the computer at a given time, I always use it when I bot.
The only similar thing I could find was this:
http://www.mmowned.com/forums/world-...atch-file.html
Which gave a link to this:
Shutdown your Windows Computer at a particular time
But this program that I am talking about is easier and quicker to use which is why I am sharing it.
Here is the link:
Download AutoShutdown Vista Gadget 1.4.1 Free - An automatic shutdown utility on your desktop or sidebar - Softpedia
Basically what you do after the gadget is installed is that you hover over it with your mouse pointer, click the tool for preferences that appear. Then you choose what time, or how many hours and minutes from now until it shall shut down your computer.
Reliable, simple and quick.
I am aware that it is not the most useful tip ever but if someone finds use for it, then it was worth it.
