    I'm trying to use this on a private server, it's 3.3.0a and yet it keeps closing the WoW window.

    so after the initial banwave, are new users safe? I ran this for like 3 hours on an account I don't care about with no ban.. logged back in 12 hours later.. no ban still! How long do the bans normally take, are all new users safe?

    Ye, but you will be banned if you used it.. as it flags your account for ban list >_>

    Playing a game for the graphics is like watching porn for the storyline.

    I got unbanned!

    First I sent in a complaint using the webform, challenging my ban. I claimed I had used the tool only once, and only with the test command Cypher posted, and that I used it purely out of curiosity if it actually worked, and not for exploitative intent.

    I got the standard CTRL+C reply after about 4 days;

    Greetings xxxxxxx,

    Following a review of your case, we can confirm that the evidence presented was correct, and that the subsequent action taken was appropriate. Our decision in this matter stands, and will not be overturned.

    Please note, it is our policy never to reveal details regarding account investigations, beyond the information given in the original notice mail, for privacy and security reasons.

    We now consider this matter closed, and would not look to enter into further communication on the matter.

    If you wish to review our current Rules and Policies, they can be found at:
    World of Warcraft Europe -> Legal Documents -> Terms of Use
    Blizzard Entertainment: Battle.net Terms of Use

    Regards,

    Blizzard Entertainment Europe
    xxxxxxx
    Blizzard Customer Support
    Blizzard Support
    So just for kicks, I phoned them up and persisted in asking for a supervisor or manager. The frontline guy repeated the usual "For account restoration or other issues, you have to use the webform blabla" 3-4 times, but eventually gave up. I got to speak to a Senior Customer Rep, which went off the phone for like 3 minutes while he spoke to the team manager.

    Team manager agreed that the penalty sounded harsh for my action, and said he would forward the case to the hacks team personally (or so the Senior said, I never spoke to the Manager).

    I honestly thought this was just bull and hot air to get me off the phone, but the guy I spoke to sounded sincere. Now two days later, this popped into my inbox;

    Hello xxxxxxx,

    Please accept my apology for the time it took to get back to you. The hacks team have now concluded their investigation, and your account closure has been reduced to a 72 hour suspension (FINAL WARNING). Please be aware that we take the usage of 3rd party programs (tools/hacks) very seriously.

    If you wish to review our current Rules and Policies, they can be found at:
    World of Warcraft Europe -> Game Policies
    Blizzard Entertainment: Battle.net Terms of Use

    Battle.net Account Name: xxxxxxx
    World of Warcraft Account Name: xxxxxxx
    Type of Violation: Use of Third party Programs
    Consequences for Account: FINAL WARNING.

    Due to the severity of this offence, your account has been issued its Final Warning. This means that should any further violations of our Rules and Policies occur, this will almost certainly lead to the permanent closure of your account.

    While we regret to take this type of action, we have determined it to be in the best interests of the World of Warcraft community as a whole, and for the integrity of the game.

    Should you have other questions or concerns, feel free to contact us again, via our webform: http://eu.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml

    Regards,

    xxxxxxx

    So that goes to show all of you nay-sayers on here that calling IS the way to go. If you send a form after a banwave, you most likely will get hit with a CTRL+C reply.

    So there!

    PS. Even tho the e-mails are 100% correct copies, I doubt Blizz ppl on here would try to "trace" it or w/e - but incase they do, both my accounts are already cancled and I have finally decided to quit the game - so be my guest!
