What is NodeAnnounce? ( MAC ONLY )

NodeAnnounce is a simple little program that scans your minimap looking for those yellow circles that indicate the presence of a tracking "node", ie, mineral veins and herbs. Isn't this a violation of the WoW Terms of Service (ToS)?

Probably. Although it doesn't automate or interact with WoW in any way, I'm sure Blizzard frowns upon this type of thing. That said, it's also impossible to detect since it doesn't interact with WoW in any way. What do I need to run this?

I know it works in Leopard on PPC systems. It should work on Intel boxes, and it should work in Tiger. Unfortunately, I have neither a machine running Tiger, nor a machine with an Intel processor, so your mileage may vary. However, I will certainly work on ensuring that it works on Intel machine... I just need to find an Intel machine. Why did you make this?

Because I hate staring at the tiny minimap searching for even tinier yellow circles while I fly around Nagrand. It's ridiculous. Is NodeAnnounce free?

You can download it from the download page. I'd post a screenshot if I could, but since there's really no interface, there's no point. Now how do I use this thing?

Open WoW. Choose "Setup Scan Rect" from the menu. Select the area of the screen occupied by your WoW minimap. Choose "Start Scanning". All done! Now roam around and you will be alerted whenever a node is spotted.

Also, I've only tested this while running in windowed mode. It probably won't work in fullscreen.

If you ever re-do your UI or change the position of your minimap, you'll need to set the scan rect to the new position.

I actually made one a while ago just for personal use but then my laptop went and shat itself.
