New Release - WoW Patch Selector/Launcher (Supposedly disables Warden aswell)!

this is just a nice little program that i wanted 2 share with you guys. I am in no way the author of this program.

I have just created a program to help with switching patches for WoW. It also includes a special launcher that disables warden from closing WoW if it detects things like Cheat Engine, etc.

Purpose: This program is made to provide for fast switching World of Warcraft patches. It also contains a launcher system. "WoWMe" launches WoWModelEdit hack, to force WoW to use modelhacks. "Hack" launches DamonT's NoAddiction Hack. Normal is self-explanitory.


Usage:

• Launch program normally, by double clicking (Duh...) to get the GUI. You can also make a shortcut and launch it.
• If you add ANY parameter to the shortcut, (i.e. Target: "C:Program FilesWorld of Warcraftpatchselect.exe" off), it will not show a window, but will automatically disable all non-blizzard patches and launch WoW normally. (Handy if a child/sibling plays WoW on the same computer as you, and you don't want to manually disable your *cough* PvP skins *cough* when they get on. Simply replace the WoW icon on the Desktop with a shortcut to this, change the icon to WoW's, and add a parameter to the Target blank)
• Note: When you "Disable" a patch, it appends .LOK to the end. You can manually remove the .LOK by renaming the file. No changes are made to the file's contents.
• Note: This program will only target patches with the name pattern of patch-*.MPQ, where * can be a number or a letter.
• Note: If you choose to disable a Blizzard patch, the program will automatically re-enable it. WoW won't work without those =P.

Updates: Next update will include realm selection for all you who play Emus and Retail WoW. Also will update the WoWME and Noaddiction Hack if DamonT updates (If he doesn't, I'll try to continue his noble work).


Known Bugs:

• If you exit PatchSelect from the Launcher Window, it will leave of the process running, but the GUI will dissapear (No big deal, just a cleanup issue. Working on fixing it.)
• If you have changed your WoW Dir since installation, this program might not work. To fix it, try renaming the directory to what you set it as during installation (Default: %Program Files%World of Warcraft)

i think he's referring to scan.dll not warden, which can simply be deleted.

Flame me if i am stupid, but what could we use such a program for?

Will it for example go back to a patch where a exploits was possible on a live server and you can do it? IF you know what i mean..

Can anyone confirm that this is legit other than the creator? Ok I'll test it.. If this is a keylogger the creator will die i swear it.

If you think this disables warden then you probably have down syndrome. You can't disable Warden.

What the tool probably does is delete Scan.dll upon launch to bypass the check for CE etc on startup. But if you log in with CE present you WILL get banned, so it's pretty pointless unless you're on a private server (because they don't have support for warden).

This sounds interesting, but Im unsure what its purpose it. Does it let you select whether you want your client to be 2.3 or 2.4 etc.? Or just lets you select whatever model edit patches that you have installed you want to use? If its the first one, I'm going to check it out, if its not then meh. Option #1 would be awesome for people playing on emu servers occasionally.

I don't see a point in going back to old patches other than a bug that got fixed but there really aren't any worth going back.
