WotLK Model Edit Fix

Information:

Lots of people were requesting this so here it is. A WoTLK model edit fix.
Unfortunately I'm capped for this month and it was too expensive to get uncapped so I'm not able to get the full client for a few more days, but I got the latest WoW.exe and was able to build a fix from that.

I was not able to test it myself but users have confirmed it as working.

Furthermore, it uses signature scanning so it should work when the WoTLK client is updated but there are no guarantees because they may or may not change something which breaks the signatures, it's beta software so it's quite likely.

As always, use at your own risk.

Instructions:
Use the loader 'Morpher.exe' to run WoW. Please run the loader from your WotLK folder (the one that contains WoW.exe).

Once WoW is running that's all you need to do. (The loader does not need to be kept running in the background, as soon as you hit "Launch" it's safe to close it)

Troubleshooting:
If the loader won't run please download the VC++ 2008 Redistributable package, available using the link below.

Make sure you're not using an incompatible DBC edit, and that your files extension is 'MPQ' not 'mpq'. (That may fix it)

EDIT: Can anyone please tell me the folder structure for the Wrath client, ie, where in the 'World of Warcraft' folder is it?? Also, is the Wraths exe location stored in the registry anywhere? I forgot to update the loader and it's still trying to run WoW.exe that it finds in the registry normally, so yes you need to run it from the Wrath folder, sorry.

ah i found why it doesnt work with me

the people above didnt have model edits in there data folder, mine does.

and mine is patch-3.MPQ

i load the patch and it closes right after it opens

Like I said, crap like DBCs are likely to crash it if they're designed for 2.4.x.

Start->Run->Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\

Check in that folder and subfolders for anything that points to the WotLK folder.

If it isn't shown in the registry please post where in your WoW base folder (eg Program Files\World of Warcraft\) your WotLK folder is installed. For example it might be "World of Warcraft\Beta\Wrath\WoW.exe".
