Well, I am going to venture to say duping and such probably won't be an issue, but massive botting might net me some profit here... Kind of lame to be honest from a gameplay perspective though
Involving money brings it closer to real-life trading.. IRL is exactly what I want these games to keep me away from.
oh yes, I am going to bot this game so hard my ass hurts.
Well this is quite sad imho, i doubt this is going to make anyone rich.
I really don't want this to happen because 1/2 of the people in this thread as of this responce have already said what I fear. Botting. D2 was rampantly botted and nothing was done to fix this. WoW is still botted horribly which shows me that Blizzard cannot or will not fix the botting issue. If the drop system is anything at all like the previous incarnation of the Diablo franchise then this games 'economy' will be run by unlegit players and the legit players who put hours of real time play into finding "Alcuz's Nutsack" will be forced to sell it for pennies to stay competitive in a world run by bots.
And even though I say it will be sold for pennies the same items can eventually be bought for pennies making for a very very boring PvE world when nobody is ever actually farming their own items but instead just waiting on the new batch of bot postings.

With any luck the best loot of the game will be unbottable. As Blizzard learned with WoW, they can make some interesting boss fight mechanics that require player interaction to survive.
@ CASH As in wow the best gear wont be able to be botted for number of reason's but that dose not stop the gold market. As in wow you will need good gear to get up to date with the tide of ppl. You can't raid the last raid in 85lv gear and i also believe you can't kill Ball with Act 1 gear. So this were the boting comes...it feels that spot where you need gear to run the hardest of dungeons and what not. Also one more thing that we need to keep in mind that you can sell or buy in game gold on the AH. Which will 100% have a impact on the "normal/standart" AH( like inflated prices on items, and couple of other things. Like the emptiness of the normal AH(people are geedy you know and).) I believe there may be bots that just farm gear and vendor it for gold and then post the gold for money. Its allot easier that making a bot farming hard places... in the end someone will buy the gold to buy that item that some real person looted from some dungeon. Also i dont see what the big deal is about... not like i am not gonna use the cash AH like wow AH but instead of gold i will be farming and working with real money. Instead of 200k gold i will be working with 200 euro or dollars and spend instead of 50k gold 50 euro.
