this game is great, easily replaces WoW for me, at least until GW2![]()
the next big thing mmo wil be TOR in my opinion, played rift, i find it so/so
I dont get it why it's so popular. I played beta, but i didn't find anything special. Seems like copy of wow, with more class customization, which is bad for balancing.
you guys gotta play to at least level 15 before you judge it, I will warn everyone that the newbie area (around about first 6 levels) is quite the boring! and will make you think it's nothing but a dull WoW clone.
Got to level 30 in the beta. It wont be near is big as TOR, and its not much new to the genre, but it does remind me a lot of classic WoW. You know, when it was GOOD.
I don't think its worth paying for, but I will definitely be interested if the emulation community is alive.
I am enjoying it so far, Latest patch for WOW killed the game for me, Fast mana drain on my Pally tank is a no go. So far i am between my mage and Rogue on Rift, both are fun. Hope there will be more on here when the game goes live. Anyone here get the pre-order?.
I do not think that a star wars related game can gain more popularity than wow even if tor is better in every way its still star wars classes arent even fantasy related ya know? everybody knows a mage nobody knows a starwing commander ooklor knight.., sorry a "Jedi Consular", "Sith Inquisitor"? :\
Are you kidding me? Star Wars is the largest franchise in the world. The fanbase is probably over 100x larger than World of Warcraft. When someone thinks of mage, most people will not think of world of warcraft, they'll think of the generic mage thats been used in fantasy for generations.
Even in the dungeon and dragon type fantasy games, Lord of the Rings has a much bigger fanbase than World of Warcraft.
+rep people who help you
Looking to put together a static group for Rift, any buy the pre-order?.
