Getting 15k armor in bear form

Introduction: This is a collection of the items currently in game that possess the highest base armor stats. This collection does not take into account stats, only base armor. Calculations are made with the assumption that the druid has the Thick Hide Talents. Therefore, all base armor stats are multiplied by 4.7. Why 4.7? This is an issue that many nubs fail to understand. Druids with Thick Hide gain a 370% BONUS to armor, which means they are gaining 370% more armor on top of the armor already granted by the base stat. Therefore, the base stat counts as 100%. The total of this would be 470%, thus 4.7 is the number used to calculate the bear form value. THIS IS NOT A TOPIC FOR DEBATE. THIS IS FACT. OMG s0 dum!� keep in mind that this is not a declaration of priority by any means, it is simply a compilation of items that would yield the highest bear form armor stat. It is up to your governing leadership in your guild to determine priority on items. Along that same vine, it is wholly the opinion of the individual as to the worth of Feral Druids in high level instances or even in general and this guide makes no formal statement as to their usefulness. I hope that this guide showcases the staggering amount of armor a Feral Bear Form druid can accumulate and the subsequent damage reduction.

as an warrior..........my warrior heart died a bit while reading this.......they can now take 73.19% less damg per hit.......and heal........i think i see warriors getting beaten by druid

I hear droods get a sunder type thing in BC too (I cba to check) so they will be much better tanks, especially with this amount of armor :O

Tho does it support as much on the def + stam side of things?

of course any real druid tank would mix and match some items that arnt nessessarily the highest armour to get better stamina or dodge which is worth 400ac + per dodge percentage.

i wear some of the items above but i prefer things like the silithid chestguard from moam in aq40 over my malf due to more stam and plenty of agility (287ac 30stam 21agility/1.02% dodge 15str), i also wear defilers boots over shadowflame (for the plain reason they've never dropped for me :/) and instead of warding i wear the sandstorm cloak from ossarian (135ac 12stam 12str 1%dodge and 6 def).

you mention any neck as it has no armour.. agility still gives 2 ac per, even if it isnt multiplied by bear form every bit helps. i wear the dragonslayers one from nef myself. tbf with my preferences i dont even wear the highest armour rings anymore. i wear the dark iron one and the high stam/agility one from nef

buffed i have 14,307ac 9222hp 328def (with talents bringing me up to an equivalent 403def (-3% reduced chance to be critted = 75 def)) and 26% dodge (with agility totem) my gears good, but not the best. (no real aq40 stuff except the helm from vem and co. - guise)

messing with my gear and wearing max ac items i can be upwards of 16k but at a big dodge/stam hit.

plus lets not forget when the next 'proper' patch comes in our armour multiplication changes from 360% (x4.6) to 450% (x5.5). should be nice
