Open bot mappings area

Now i agree this area wouldn't be used much, but there are people that would love the area including a few elites and people who use it, in the recent version of open bot it made it easier to share mappings.

So it may seem a good idea, its matt etc.

To encourage the safety of open-bot the creators won't allow sharing of maps on their forum. Offcours we can share but I think it must be in a group were it is checked that they are valid users + got a specific rank (Contributor for sure ?)

They say that becouse of glider profiles, they are overly used and you can have more than 1 person doing that area, so i think this should maybe be for people with like 20 rep just to narrow down the amoutn of leechers

Why not add this as a sub-forum for active members and above? So it won't get leeched..

This is really a great idea, one of the reasons I won't use openbot is because I have private profiles for glider that I use. Why should I have to redo all that on another bot? I think this would increase the popularity of open-bot and greatly decrease time spent setting it up. Instead of having to map a large area for botting, the data is already there and you're good to go.

tsincat, openbot isn't like glider it took me 30 mins to make my first mapping including it being my first time and i had no idea what to do, its damn easy though

Anyways, its a clear NO from me, unless its contributor and up. One of the major things that makes Openbot more safe then Glider, is that the ones using Openbot isn't as lazy, and uses more time, and therefor, less banrate. Glider, however, has an profile system, where most of the profiles is shared. Which makes it so everyone uses the same spots.

Yeah I know. I have a innerspace subscription and I used Openbot myself for a while. I considered giving it another go, but the time spent mapping 1-70 didn't seem worth it.

I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem with people sharing mapping data in the forums, contrib, donator, shared lounge, whatever. If it became a popular thing I don't think the admins would have a problem making a mapping data forum.

For the sake of how good Openbot is, I say NO!

Its one or two hotspots, and you walk a little bit around it, then youre done. If you are to lazy to do that, then most likely, you are to lazy to set it up correctly. And if you are to lazy to that, Blizzard will show how not lazy they are, and ban you. And more people will becomme lazy with the profiles... Meh...

Just do as the developers wish, don't share the maps, maybe with your friends, but not on a large forum like this.

Their should be a private forum for innerspace users only... to join it you must show your affliation link so we can see it is a pro subscription and to see mapfiles you needed to make at least 3...
