I'm around rank 1800 currently, so you should be between 800-2800 otherwise we won't be able to queue up

The point is to lower your rank

Playing niche characters like symmetra is a pain in the ass when your rank is above the noob treshold
Saves you the trouble of creating a smurf

Is the -1 bug still in effect, i.e if you reach 0 rank you get sent back to 5000 like that Korean?

Nah that got fixed the same day that korean guy got 5000 (and was banned lol)
