Regarding ingress mass banning

Hi, I have not played ingress before but since playing pokemon go I had heard a lot about how ingress manage to ban most of the hackers by mass banning? Anyone know any details about this like did it really happened? And did anyone manage to avoid it. Just curious about this not that I care about the banning as banning require risks once you had start hacking, that is where you decide to take a gamble lol. Thanks in advance

Theres really no way to prevent it and yes Ingress banned alot of people

I was able to avoid being banned from ingress for a long time just by playing safe but we have no idea how they will handle pokemon go and anything could happen, if you are truly worried don't cheat.
