Questions regarding WoW botting

Hey everyone, I'd like to know a few things about botting in WoW.

So, I've played WoW for quite a while, started in 2006 or so. I've never botted in WoW(in other games I have, though!) but lately it has started to interest me. Leveling is incredibly boring and I want all classes to max level.

1. Does Blizzard ban botters permanently(if caught once)?

2. How high is the chance of being caught? I have 3 level 80+ characters that I want to level 90 and maybe get some gear on them.

3. Does Blizzard punish botters in other ways, e.g taking away items or gold? I have over 600k gold on my account and I definitely don't want to lose it.

4. Which bots would you recommend?

I'm new to wow botting, but not to botting in general.

I'm pretty sure you either get a 72 hour ban or a permanent ban (correct me if I'm wrong anyone).

I think questing bots that just level you up are generally the safest.

I'm pretty sure you just get banned.

Honorbuddy, cracked or not, it's pretty cheap if you just want to bot one account at a time.

I'd advice you to use the search function on the forums, and browse a bit around, cause all those questions have been answered about a billion times already

That said, it seems like blizzard has stepped up the warfare against botters significantly lately, and I'll recommend you to read a lot here at ownedcore and other forums so you take the nescessary precautions to make your botting as low risk as possible.

Maybe get a cheap battlechest account you can afford to lose to experiment and fiddle around with.

Myself, I never botted on my "main" account i had since wow launch, because I put way too much efford into it to have it banned just because I'm too lazy to farm some ghost iron ore or herbs on.

but.. DO NOT BOT ON ANYTHING YOUR NOT WILLING TO THROW IN THE TRASH CAN

botting on ur personal account, with 600k gold...bad idea. would you be okay with waking up in the morning and that account banned forever?


The only point of botting now adays is for profit in my mind. Only thing i do on my main account is CC's.

my other 12 accounts are in no way linked to my main account. (i wouldnt care if a couple get banned, no worries)


The questing Bot on Honorbuddy has been very messed up since 5.4.... I wouldnt touch it.

And always monitor your bots. NEVER afk bot.

Been botting for some years now on my main (Over 20 level 90's + roughly 1.5m cash and haven't been caught yet)

1. I'm fairly sure they don't ban you the first time you have been caught.
2. The chance of being caught is upto you. You can either be discreet with what you do (like myself) or go full out botting and raise the chances even more so.
3. They strip you of items and gold they suspect you to have acquired while botting.
4. Most bots are fine you just have to find ones you want.
