    Green, Untextured models

Hey, I was wondering what causes the green untextured models when you change something. The texture is in the right spot, but it still comes out green. Any help?

    Re: Green, Untextured models

Here, I got lazy and decided not to redo the entire swap. This is the teir 4 lock shoulder from the expansions patch.mpq. When I swapped the helmet it came out fine, same with the robe textures, though they're just textures.

    Re: Green, Untextured models

I have the same problem. When using any new weapon/model texture from the BC patch.mpq, the texture always shows up green.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

    Re: Green, Untextured models

Oh trust me that isn't the problem, Krazzee. You see, I did in fact add the proper texture. Look out closely, their different sets, one is my felheart shoulders, the other is the one I want to switch. Still, it comes out green. I've noticed this with anything in the patch.mpq of something not released yet. Often when trying to switch something from test to live this happens as well. Also - if I forgot a texture it would come out as a white matte with nothing on it, this is different.

well in my spare time i have been tinkering with adding the new kharazhan instance .wmo's to say deadmines, and so far its been wroking pretty good, its a damn pretty place. that and with zep co-ords and adding file in, you can do much. Model Changing has unlimited possibilities, remember that.

    Re: Green, Untextured models

Are you editing it through the .dbc file?

Im guessing you're trying to swap Felheart with the lock t4?

In that case if you're editing it through the dbc file you then have to create an mpq, add in the textures for the t4 files, but rename it to the t1 texture, so instead of like Item>LShoulder_Warlock_raid_D_.blp (think thats t4, double check though..) change it to LShoulder_warlock_raid_B.blp and make sure thats in.

Usually when something is green it's because your client cannot read the texture you're telling it too though.
