mmocrawlerbots mined an invisible node

As title reads, I caught my character gathering an invisible rich ghost iron deposit.

It was not visible in minimap with track minerals, and it was not visible on screen when it was being gathered.

I shut down the bot right away, of course, and as of yet, (this was about an hour ago) I haven't been banned.


I suppose my ui could have been slow, but just to be sure, has anyone experienced, or heard of, blizzard utilizing "honey pots" like this to catch botters?

Any chance you can share coordinates of said node? Zone you were in, area, etc?

It's possible that your UI hadn't caught up to a phased area where the memory-scanning bot was ahead of the graphics.

Yes. Maybe your graphic hasn't load it fast enough...
This happens to me aswell sometimes

Sorry, I did not write down the coordinates, but it seems like it was just my graphics being behind. Haven't been banned yet, and I've been botting as usual today.

I don't think the issue was that it was hidden by mist, as I've got the Mist piercing goggles with me at all times.
