Collector Editions Dyes on non-CE account

Long time leecher here, First time contributor.

So I was leveling my new demon hunter and pulled my bottle smoke and bottled cloud out of the stash and looked to see which one worked better on my newest toon. Cloud seems to always be the right answer, in this case it make you look like a character from assassins creed. Anyways my friend in the group doesn't have the Ce so I decided to test how the dyes actually worked. From what it seems like is they are locked to the item and are not removed when traded or dropped.

Fairly simply, trade any piece of gear you wish to be colored cloud or smoke to the person with CE account. Nothing big, but it probably isn't intended to work like this.

    Enjoy.

I don't play Diablo but thanks for the contribution. I'm not sure how this will be received but I found it interesting.

Keep it up and you'll be a contributor in no time!

This is intended, dye color only gets removed when you sell the item on the AH.

Well i know the dye is not removed from the item, but for the intended part I was looking more at the CE dyes being used on non-CE accounts. Nothing game breaking mind you, but still something i figured someone might want to know.
