Does Magic Find % work when you are dead?

As the title says.. Something I been wondering but cant find any answers

So for example we are 3 people who kills a boss, and Im dead when my other 2 friend kills it, does my MF% count towards the loot it will drop?

If you have 3 people on your parry the game will do a AVERAGE between you all. (dead or alive)

If you have 300% magic find and your 2 friends have 0, each person in the group will have 100% magic find. Dead or alive does not matter.

Was farming inferno yesterday with 5stacks and our 3ppl party all had different mf values in the charscreen. There is no averaging.

It doesnt do the average on the charscreen.
