Now most of this thread will seem common sense to long time gold makers but I'll make the guide anyway as its an easy way to make relatively large amounts of gold for very little effort. Please feel free to move to elite if you want. Also my first time properly making a guide so please excuse the poor layout ¬.¬ Any suggestions regarding the layout please make suggestions for future reference ^^
Due to the gear scaling entering inferno most people will be desperately needing gear to survive the hits off mobs, especially tanks
1) Open AH and configure your search filters to find All Resistance gear, this is currently one of the most useful stats for tanks as it boosts your Effective Health an insane amount.
Personally I use the following settings but feel free to tweak them to your own needs and desires
You should also change the 3rd stat occasionally to Intellect or Dexterity and occasionally Armor or Attack Speed, these can be a little less lucrative due to monks being able to just stack one resist due to the talent but they are still profitable nonetheless
2) Keep clicking refresh, the AH appears to post new batches of items every 5 minutes or so
3) Pay close attention to the items listed as 2d, these are freshly posted auctions and usually the most lucrative, if you have the float gold to spend and your filters are set correctly, buy them straight away and check the stats later, every item you buy, you will be able to flip for atleast 100k, however you will occasionally get some items that are insanely underpriced and you will be able to flip them for 300k+.
For example
This will easily be flipped for 100k, for an easy 15k profit for next to no work whatsoever, and will sell almost instantly during high pop hours
Notes
You will occasionally get "This item is no longer available" as someone will have already beaten you to buying it. However perseverance is everything and you will in time get items before others. Just be ready for when the AH re lists its next batch of items
Just be sure to take into consideration the 15% AH cut when re listing and do some napkin maths beforehand if you are unsure if you will make a profit
For those who are, "not very well acquainted" with mathematics;
(Re-List Price) / 100 * 85, if this is greater than what you bought it for... you can work out the rest = P
If you are unsure of any prices of items feel free to post here or PM me for a price check
Happy sniping and good luck!
