Kaon Under Siege - Easy Bonus Boss

So everyone seems to wipe on the Bonus boss in HM Kaon. His adds spawn in his original position, not his current position. He also seems to have no (or atleast a very slow) enrage timer.

SO, what you do, is agro him and run him back into that casino room where the allied NPCs are. Kill him in this room, and you will not have to deal with the adds until long after he is dead. If you don't have enough DPS, kite him further.

Thanks this made it easy. I didn't have a healer on in guild so I ran with some pug in greens and orange gear and we still killed the bonus boss no problem. I hope Bioware isn't fixing too many exploits or activating the cheat detection in tomorrow's patch. It'll be disappointing unless they nerf HM Kaon bonus boss. I think it is overtuned unless the group is already overgeared with operation eq.

Yeah this is more or less your only option without CC in the group. Otherwise CC two adds when the wave spawns, then knock em out one by one. It's pretty braindead once you get it down, and you don't have to spend a bunch of time running around.

& he doesn't have an enrage timer, meaning you can take as much time as you need controlling ads and what not. This strat makes it easy to avoid the boss' AoE missiles, so if everyone executed the strat perfectly the DPS should be taking close to no damage.

I did the exact strategy the first time we went in there (second attempt) back when it released.

This strategy works and it really trivializes most parts of the fight.
