You can skip the turret part and get credit for it. Our group got on the turrets and then got out of the turrets, run back to the entrance and get on top of the ship and eventually the bugs evade and this allows you to skip the event entirely and get credit for it. This is a good exploit because most pugs actually have trouble doing this FP. I've been doing this every single time the daily is up and if you need more of an explanation let me know and i'll try and get some screenshots and maybe possibly a video!

I just tried this and the bugs that were after me did indeed evade, but the quest didn't advance. How long do you have to wait? EDIT: figured it out, have to stay on top of the ship for around minutes, waiting untill the guy announces "well done"

Yea it takes a few minutes I probably should of mentioned that, but its worth it because most pugs have trouble doing that part of the instance :\

could you do this solo then?

Yes I did it solo, you get like 2k credits from the chest and an item, plus 2700XP. not really worth the trouble imo
