Yo guys, I do a lot of computer building and I've noticed a few threads. So every month or two I'll post up an ideal computer build for people on a budget, I'll also list any pros and cons I know of.
- Reuse any hard drives or disk drives you have if possible.
- Always look for hot deals
-Always check out benchmarking websites such as Anandtech.com
Anyway here's the build to start it all off:
Hitachi hard drives are pretty iffy - I won't mislead you with that. They are very hit and miss; if it weren't for Thailand flooding giving retailers an excuse to jack up prices - I wouldn't be recommending it.
The Phenom line is going to be closed down soon, so grab these while you can.
The Phenom x4 does not compete well with the i5/i5 2500k - but we're looking at a budget computer here. Computers with the same graphics card, but with the i5 and a sufficient motherboard will set you back around $650, without a hard drive.
At some point I'll do a guide to putting a computer together. Until then follow a Youtube tutorial.
If you want a custom build, drop me a PM with your country (I can ONLY do US and UK builds well) with your budget, and what you're wanting to do with your computer. I'll whip you something up.
