A Game To Play While Waiting For Diablo 3!

Hey guys, I was checking out this game a couple years ago, it looked very promising. The US version is still in closed beta but I found this European version I will play anyway.
Mythos: Start

It's called Mythos, and it looks a lot like Diablo, I'm installing it right now

I'm not sure exactly how online works but if you want to play, hit me up.

I'd recommend Torchlight for a more classic Diablo experience over Mythos, but that is my personal opinion.

Downloading Mythos now to see what it is like. This post -might- change.

I got Diablo 1 when I bought Diablo 2

I tried torchlight but I just got bored right away I might try it again later. Plus the no multiplayer thing kinda sucks because I like playing with other people.

I would not be surprised if Diablo I wasn't compatibile with Snow Leopard (not even mentioning Lion).. Not sure about the compatibility with Windows 7 either...

They won't "officialy re-release" a game with support low like this.

Good point.
Even w2 wasn't working on my old Windows XP...
But i think i played Diablo I on XP, so maybe it is working on Windows 7 after all (Win 7 backward compatibility it's quite impressive).
Think ill check it tomorrow.
But still, i rly doubt they will do such a thing, if they can't get any profit of that. Diablo is strong enough without "promotions" like this to got enough customers, to buy every of blizz programmers new Porsche camaro at the day of release.

Mythos is bad. Torchlight is not up to par, sorry. D1 will probably work on Win 7, and I think there is no Mac OS version of it. D2 will work on Snow Leopard but not on Lion.
But I agree, the best game to play is probably D2. It's such a great and fun game. I would also like forward some of you of a free hack n' slash rpg which is now in beta. It's Path of Exile. I myself haven't played it, but it feels and reminds me of Diablo 1-2. Or at least what made those games good.
