Page scrunching after load @ 1024x768

I'm not sure what the recommended viewing resolution for this site is, but at 1024x768 I have problems with buttons / boxes scrunching together after the page loads. Here are the pics.

Looks ok before the right margin is added:

After the page finishes loading the right margin is added and everything scrunches together.

Using firefox 2.66, 1024x768. And yes, I have adblock disabled on this page(it screws up text formatting in forums when it reduces the frame size to 0)
Any ideas on this? The crappy monitor I have here wont go over 1024x768 without dropping to 60 Hz... which I can't stand. I don't seem to ever have the problem when running at higher resolutions.

you should get a bigger screen, make fontsizes smaller or donate to remove the right box... Not much else to do...

The site was not designed nor engineered to be viewed on such a small aspect ratio. I suggest you go for a larger screen resolution.

Worked around using page zoom to zoom out one tick from the default. looks perfect now.

you should get a bigger screen
If it were my screen, I would.
I was just wondering, since most sites are designed to work down to a minimum of 1024x768

I don't think it is caused by the ad frame, as the scrunching happens well after the ad is loaded.

Why not make it for 1024x768? Lots of ppl use that resolution and site looks ugly for all of them. Old mmowned was way better and faster than v2.

This is even worse now with the new RTSOwned button, its even showing up on my laptop now at 1280x800. I know its kinda low res but I would expect it to work at this aspect ratio / resolution with default font sizes / zoom level. And yes it looks the same way in FF under windows, FF version 3.6.8

As being said since a long time ago, if its a problem then either get your reputation up to remove the bar to the right or donate.

This problem has nothing to do with ads, and is totally unaffected by their presence. The adbox to the side only changes the text formatting of the first post in the thread you are viewing, it has nothing to do with the formatting of the button bar at the top of the page. Also, this is the only vBulletin site I have encountered that has this bug.
Also its "Donate to remove ads" not "Donate to see the site correctly formatted"

@OP; The scrunching issue is one that I've been trying to figure out the 'best approach' for.

Making the buttons at the top smaller, makes the entire top bar look really silly.

I'm most likely just going to change 'ADVANCED SEARCH' to just 'ADV' or something with less letters, to take up less room when the site gets scrunched on such low resolutions.

The other option, is to make the site have a minimum width, which isn't really an option.
