    [Question] Looting

    Hi,

This is my first post here, and I'd like to thank everyone here for all of help I got from reading various threads!

So I've started to program a bot, I've got some basic stuff working, but I have one problem, I haven't figured out a good way to loot mobs yet. I don't want to do any memory writing at all. I thought of a few different approaches.

I know the position of the mob, and I know if it's lootable, so I could just walk up to it and move the mouse from the middle of the screen (or WoW window) and scanning outward until I find the mob and then right click, it would probably work most of the times but it would be slow.

I could also use the target last target to target the last mob I killed and walk up to it and loot it by clicking interact. But then I wouldn't be able to loot all mobs if I say, get aggro from three mobs and kill them, then I would only be able to target the third with target last target.

Have I missed anything obvious or is the best way to write a lootable mob guid to last target?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Isn't there a "Target closest emeny" feature? Don't remember if it only works for alive mobs tho.

There's a mem editing section, use it. Also, search, this has been answered before.

It has been answered before, as far as I found most of them wrote a guid to the last target address, but I don't want to use any memory writing at all. Target closest enemy only works for alive mobs. Sorry if I posted in the wrong section, but I do think this is a bot related question?

Unproject the corpse location and click it, it's pretty straighforward math.

The virtual method Interact/OnRightClick is still many a times easier...

Or you can "Target last emeny" + "Interact with target" using CTM WITHOUT memorywriting.
