Pally Spec and gear?

I have just recently specced prot, and im kinda loving it...is there any good weapons or gear i should get for him? I am barely level 70, and my server sucks for grouping or raiding.

Apparently, everyone on Andorhal make people link their achievements to attend ANY groups.

Also, wondering what stats should i be focusing on? I know ret = strength...

Okay Basically as a Paladin Protection tank your stats will be mostly focusing on:
-Stam
-Defense Rating
-Mitigation (Block Value, Block Rating, Dodge, Ect.)

To get your gear you should do some quests in Northrend (If you have WotLK, you never Specified =\) I have gone by many Quests where the rewards have a piece of tanking gear involved. There isn't many "Good" weapons or gear that really stick out unless you do the Dungeons such as "Utgarde Keep" "The Nexus" or "Azjol-Nerub" for the gear, but you also said it sucks for grouping.

well, im on andorhal...and i NEED an xfer off, but no one will buy my tabard of the arcane card. so, i figure might as well make the best of it.

yeah, i got some good shield and pants from 2 quests as soon as i got there, but i wanna get groups and level fast...with no main and no exp shoulders, its hard...

My paladin dinged 80 in December after getting Defense cap with Crafted gear did heroics. Did 10 man Naxx now moving to clear ulduar.

So to re-cap.

What you need for heroics is 535 defence, 20k HP and 20k armor Unbuffed. Yes, there is a little leeway in this. For Naxx, you need 540 defence once you have that raid buffs will take you to up to about 27k

If you don't reach this, it's fairly simple to do. Get a couple of gems and enchants for defence (with regard to the guides on the other forum), and, if all else fails, get on some Tempered Saronite and The Daunting Legs and Gloves, which are itemised for almost nothing else and will do you nicely.

If you're a little short, one final option is the Lesser Flask of Toughness, which offers 0.62% crit reduction. Another possibility is the Elixir of Mighty Defense (sic), which is worth 9.15 Defence skill.

Well, as a prot paladin i can say is that stamina is not that important as u will not get any MT spots anyway, so go for more migitation and max out mining :>
