[Guide] 2.4.3 MaNGOS With PSDB [Easy + Full Support]

This guide will help you making your very own MaNGOS private server for World of Warcraft patch 2.4.3 (8606)
You will only success if you follow each step very good, and give yourself time to read the guide.

1) MySQL
a. Download & Install MySQL Server 5.1.
b. Configure MySQL and remember the password you made for it.
c. Done with that

2) SQLyog
a. Download & Install SQLyog Enterprise.
b. Run SQLyog and click on "New..." -and call it what you want.
c. Fill the formula like this:

MySQL host address - 127.0.0.1
Username - root
Password - The password you made in MySQL
Port - 3306
Database(s) - Leave this blank!

d. Now click on Connect.
e. Right click on "root@ 127.0.0.1" to the left, and click on "Create Database...". Create 4 databases called mangos, characters, realmd and scriptdev2.
f. Quit SQLyog.

3) MaNGOS & PSDB
a. Download and extract it to your desktop with WinRAR.
b. Open MaNGOS 2.4.3 folder, and go to "SQL"-folder.
c. Run PSDB_Installer.bat and fill in the informations, and let it install the databases.
d. Go back to the main folder and open mangosd.conf with notepad, and fill the following informations:

LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;MySQL Password;realmd"
WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;MySQL Password;mangos"
CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;MySQL Password;characters"

And then save it and close it.

e. Open realmd.conf with notepad and fill these informations:

LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;MySQL Password;realmd"

And then save it and close it.

f. Open scriptdev2.conf with notepad and fill following:

ScriptDev2DatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;MySQL Password;scriptdev2"

Save it and close it.

4) DBC/MAPS/VMAPS - Final
a. To get the map files, you'll have to use the ad.exe from "MaNGOS 2.4.3/SQL/Tools/Map_Extractor". Then go to your World of Warcraft installation folder, and create a folder named "maps". Copy the ad.exe to the WoW folder, and let it run till it's done! When it's done, take the "maps" folder to your MaNGOS folder.

b. Now you will need the DBC files. You'll find the extractors in "MaNGOS 2.4.3/SQL/Tools/DBC_Extractor". Place MPQE.exe, SFmpq.dll, and the appropriate .cmd file for your locale in the World of Warcraft\data\[your locale]\ folder and then run the .cmd file. Once it is finished, you will have a dbc/ folder which can be moved into your main MaNGOS folder.

c. You're almost done, and you just need the VMaps. Go to "MaNGOS 2.4.3/SQL/Tools/VMap_Extractor", run the makevmaps_SIMPLE.bat, and wait till it's done. Then take the VMap folder(s) to the main MaNGOS folder.

That's all! Works perfectly for me, and I do hope it will for you too. If you have any questions, please post 'em here, or pm me. I'll help you as much as possible!

For Starters, assuming this works, it is awesome

So far I've got as far as extracting the maps, but the two extractors you included are for 2.4.1 and 2.4.2

I've found a 2.4.3 extractor, but it would be a lot easier if you included one

I know that I missed the 2.4.3 extractor, but it should work with the 2.4.2 version. I've found a 2.4.3 maps & dbc extractor. Download here.

Does this have an Auction House Bot in it, or would I need to install one? And how would I go about doing that if so? I've been trying for about a week and a half now to find out how to install an AHBot, and have come up blank on all of my searches, both in this forum and on Google. I currently have made one server using 711's Noobpack+. I'm still very new to this, but I hope to learn more.

(Also, is it possible to save a custom city I've built, or is that something I would just have to rebuild from scratch?)

i didnt make the VMaps but i know that a server can work even without the VMaps but i will make them later...
the problem is that when i start mangos and realmd they close before i can see what the error is... if someone knows whats the problem plz help me.

TIP: You've got to be quick, but when the window shows up, quickly hit the "Pause" button before it closes

Can i ghet some help pls. I have a 2.4.3 mangos and i want to know if and how to make the guards in the city to point to a vendor. When you ask them where the bank is it will show you on the map and all the pther vendors. Can someoane help me pls?

i get a erroer on the AD.exe at 41% =\

and i am guessin that would make the realm stay offline

ya it is mybe it is my WoW Files? It does that from every Guide i download from becides Wotlk one i get other errors on that xD

at 41% i get a error msg "the one that says end program now "

i keep going after that then the mangos says the Map File is in Wrong place

but i am guessing that is because of the 41% error
