Hey There, im relitiily new too this forum and its my turn to post a thread.

What is this guide?
This guide will show you how to crack passwords on world of warcraft using brute force.

Dude? Whats the hell is brute force?
A Brute Force attack is an automated process of trial and error used to guess a person's username, password, credit-card number or cryptographic key. Otherwise known as a "password cracker".

IT SHOULD BE WORKING NOW RE- DO THE GUIDE DONT USE THE YOUTUBE VID I WILL MAKE A NEW ONE!

Things you will need:
Brutus AET2 - Brutus - Download
Word lists(Not always needed, but i reccemend you download anyway.) - RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
Time - www.patience.com (j/k)

Avast says it's a trojan but it just says that because it's a popular bruteforcer.

(once you download the word file (there are over 10 million words,numbers and combinations in there) extract it and put it onto your desktop.)

Step 1:
ok open up brutus AET2 if its not open already.
Step 2:
Where it says "type" click the scroll down button and set it to "HTTP(Form)"

Step 3:
Where it says "HTTP(Form) Options" click on modify sequence. in the "Target form" part type put in:
http:// forums.wow-europe. com/login.html?op=1&forumId=10001&sid=1&referer=1

REMOVE THE GAPS BETWEEN "//" and "forums" and "." and "com"

[SIZE="5"]Now click "Learn from settings". A new box will come up. in the biggest white box in the middle where it says "Field name" and "field value" scroll down and at the bottom in the "field name" section should be "accountName" and "password".
Click on "accountName" and click on "username" then click on "password" and click on "password. Then click on Accept.[/SIZE]

Step 4:
Whilst your still in "HTML form authentication definition" at the bottom should be HTML response. in "primary response" type in:

invalid account name or password

and put it in secondary response too. Click ok.

Step 5:
Now in the "Authentications options" there should be a user file. This is where the username you want to find the password for goes. type it in ( the username the you want to hack into.) and click the "single user" tick box. and DO NOT untick the "use username" box. now go over to the passfile and click "browse" click on "desktop" and then find the word list folder.

Step 6:
Now click on start and wait untill it finally cracks the password!

password option: i reccomend this but it may take some time to go through the possible combos - ontop of the pass file part click the drop down option and click "brute force". Now click "range". A box will open. Tick "Custom" and take out whatever is there. now put in "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwqyz1234567890" and on the two scrolldown options on the first one put in "6" and on the second one put in "10".

This will go though all the possible combinations of numbers and letters.

Somtimes the programme will bug out and say "account cracked" password is "blah blah" when it's not. simpley do it again.

Also Don't Click "proxy" when you do this otherwise it will not work.

TROJAN ? : no there is not a trojan my avg says there is a trojan for some reason ( due to it being a brute forver). but checking the programme for virusus none showed up. also you dont have to download the word list. you can create your own ( but may take you some time) or just use the brute force option. also if you feel my links are unsafe download from somewhere else on google if it makes you more secure. the link i provided for brutus was from the official website so i ensure you nothing is wrong with it.

A wordlist can't contain virusses (at least if it is a .txt file), and brutus is one of the most popular brute-forcers (was posted in shared some time ago), and he's linking to the official site (not 100% sure lol, but I thought it was)... So I don't think there are any virusses in it

Uh sadly you can attach a keylogger to anything bud.

Started to download Brutus AET 2 from the page given and right away Avast spotted Troijan. Dont know does that mean anything but I aint gonna try it.

Major, that's because lots of AVs call brute forcers trojans or the like because they don't want you to use them. He's linked the official website's download.

Oh, and we tend to use VirusTotal.com to check for viruses

According to one site it looks like the site you posted has been down since december 05?

and with a quick search on google I found that another host had to take his download down because of "Homeland Security bullshit"
