777's Loot guide
When customizing a server, it is always good to have custom loot.
This does not go into creating custom items. Only ways for players to get loot.
1. Vendors
2. Quests
3. Object Loot
4. Item Loot (Lockboxes)
5. NPC Deaths
Vendors
You have a custom item that you quickly want to sell. All you have to do is go into your "Vendors" table.
Entry - The spawn ID of the vendor (NPC)
Item - The ID of your item
Amount - How many of that item the vendor has. (For rare items that can only be bought every little while)
Max_amount - Leave at 0 for infinite amount, set to any other number to be the max number of that item that the vendor can have.
Inctime - The time it takes for the vendor to get more of the limited item.
If you want a item that can be bought as much as its needed, only modify the first two.
Quests
Many servers have a beginner quest with some information about the server and a item. All you need to do is change the reward.
Go into the 'quests' table. You will see "RewChoiceItemId#". Put the ID of the item there. There is more than one choice column so you may add more items to choose from.
Go further across and you will see "RewChoiceItemCount#". This is how many of the item is given. For armor it is 1, but for items like potions or food it can be higher.
Even more across you will see "RewItemID#". This is a item reward that is not chosen but given no matter what. Once again, to the side you can set how many of the item is given.
Object Loot
In order to make object loot like chests you must make a new object. Find a object which you like the look of in gameobject_names. Find the number under "displayid" and then make a new object with that ID.
With the entry of your new object, go into the table "Objectloot" and make a new line.
Index - Just a way to number the line. It can be anything not taken.
Entry - The Entry ID of your new game object.
ItemID - The ID of your item.
PercentChance / Heroicpercentchance - The chance of getting your item from the object. 100 = always.
Min/Maxcount - How many of the item you will get. If min/max are diffrent, it will be randomly picked between those numbers.
ffa_loot - This will make it so the item is not rolled on (I have yet to see this work on the newer revs)
Spawn the object in-game and it will now have a gear to be looted.
Item Loot
Item loot is very easy. First make a item to be your box. For display just copy a lockbox. Now go into 'itemloot' and make a new line.
The columns are the same as object loot. EntryID is the ID of the box, ItemID is the ID of the loot.
NPC Deaths
Once again the same as object loot. EntryID is the creature's spawn id, Itemid is the loot.
End note: All these methods can be repeated. You can have multiple things drop off the same creature by adding more lines. For quests you just need to add more things to the RewItemID columns. You can only have one choice item, and up to four mandatory reward items.
