Linking NPCs - A Comprehensive Guide!

    How To Link NPCs

Hello MMOwned! For the longest time, i never knew how to Link npcs. And by linking, I mean both these two things:
-When one NPC is attacked, the other will aggro, even if outside of aggro range.
-When waypointing one NPC, the other NPC will be linked to it, and will follow at a certain distance.
    Enjoy this guide.
    STEP ONE:
Step one is very simple. Spawn 2 random NPCs - make sure they are either a) friendly NPCs, or b) the same faction as each other, so they won't be attacking each other. If they are hostiles, make sure you and everyone around you have the '.invincible' cheat on yourselves. Yes, this guide is for ASCENT EMULATOR.

So, spawn 2 NPCs. Later, on your own time, you can use more, but for now, let us start with two.

Select one of the NPCs - the one that is further in front.

    STEP TWO
Now, type in the following command:
    Code:
    .formationlink1
EXACTLY as above! No space between formation and link, and no space between link and 1! There are no variables to insert.
You should see a message like:
"Master" NPC set, linkups are ready.

    STEP THREE
Now, select the other NPC, and type in the following command:
    Code:
    .formationlink2 X Z
If you are linking aggro range, measure how far away the second NPC is. This is crucial! Then, measure the angle based on a 90 degree angle scale, approximately.
Then, type, where X is, the distance the second NPC is, the for Z, the angle of his location based on the master NPC.

If you are getting an NPC to follow another NPC, simply replace X with the following distance, and Z with the radius number. For example, .formationlink2 4 4 would make an NPC follow a little ways behind, and to the left a little.
Experiement with this however you might.

    STEP FOUR
Now, if you are getting an NPC to follow another, then simply reselect the NPC in front (the master NPC) and then set your waypoints as normal. DO NOT SET A WAYPOINT FOR THE NON-MASTER NPC - IF YOU DO, YOU WILL NEED TO DELETE 'BOTH' NPCS AND START COMPLETELY AGAIN!
IF done correctly, your secondary NPC should be following your master NPC.
This is creative- try different combos, different numbers and variables, and have fun!
