Using External Maphack (carrying on the QAZZY legacy) by Mr Nukealizer
Updated to 1.5.3.
Now includes a trainer(AI/Custom games), but it's not complete yet.
Minimap auto-sizing is working
File attached below
I made this guide for the program found on another forum, I don't think I can link here(will check) but have the authors permission.
For those that don't know this program allows you to see enemy units on the minimap with the direction they are moving, it also can show you which units & buildings the enemy have along with their resources and food count.
I found Mr Nukealizer's thread about an updated external hack and gave it a try, I noticed some people were having issues figuring out how to setup or use the program and thought I would try and help out a bit.
First thing is, I only have Windows 7 and I only have a 1920x1080 monitor(1280x720 code is below also), so I can't help with other versions of windows or screen sizes, sorry. Feel free to post the settings for other sizes and I will add them.
I will be taking this step by step for those that don't know much about this.
Download program from the thread linked above ▲. (or just click the arrow to the left here)
Unzip with program of your choice, I use 7-Zip myself.
The Microsoft .NET Framework 4 is needed for this program.
Another issue some might have is administration privileges. Right click on the EXE file and go to "properties", On the "Compatibility" tab check the box for "Run this program as an administrator.
Log into StarCraft 2 and got to options
and to the Video tab and change to Windowed (Fullscreen)
I use games vs the ai well I got used to the settings, but feel free to learn with it on the ladder if you so choose.
Open the program after logging in to StarCraft 2.
Option Choices
Drawing allows you to pick what gets shown on the minimap
Hotkeys lets you bind your panels to specific keys
Timers decides how fast the minimap information refreshes, I left it the way it was preset.
Setting up minimap
First you want to open your folder where you unzipped your file and open your settings file with notepad or proper editor like notepad++
Replace the top 5 lines of your setting file with the code below(only for 1920x1080 resolution):
Code for 1280x720Code:[Map HUD] X=26 Y=808 SizeX=262 SizeY=258
Click Map On to toggle the map on and off, sometimes you might have to click twice to get it to pop up.Code:[Map HUD] X=19 Y=539 SizeX=174 SizeY=171
Click Observer On and change to "Buildings and Unit on Different Lines" and drag the box to your choice locale, I use the to left corner and have it set to the Left in the option on the Drawing tab.
I move the Resource box under my own in the top right for a final look of something like this.
Trainer
It now includes the beginning of a trainer. It can already change resources, and freeze the values so you don't keep running out. It can also set the multipliers for damage dealt and damage taken.
The interesting thing about this one is that it can affect any player(s) you chose, so you can improve your allies, or make enemies do no damage or have no resources. It can also be used by multiple players in co-op without a desync if they do it right. I also plan to add a feature to pick a time ingame for it to make the changes to help players time it right and avoid desyncs.
Open multiple windows to do different things to different players.
I hope this helped some people out there figure out how to get this working. Thanks for continuing to work on this project Mr Nukealizer.
Anyone is free to suggest tips & help, I hope to have a video up in the future at some point.
