Unrooting is device specific, For me I had no factory rom available couldnt find it anywhere but look hard enough and you find ways around it.
What device do you have? and have you tried magisk?

Hi, You can use Magisk to play Pokemon Go on rooted devices

No magisk doenst work anymore, you will get unable to authenticate error

Edit: apparently magisk without xposed or xposed with suhide are working, for now.

Rooting your device gives you unfettered access to tweak your device however you want...

On a separate note, I can't even play PoGo after the .37/.39 update on a non-rooted device(running kitkat 4.4.2), just keep getting the "unable to authenticate" error

If you tell me what brand and model number your phone is i can pm you a link to the websites to unroot your device as ive rooted all my Samsung phones and unrooted them just so i could update my phone to the latest software then root them again to mess with my roms and other hardware that Samsung dont want you too mess with
