Unbanned, now re-banned. GG
So, I got hit in the recent ban wave, then I appealed and I got unbanned since the decided to accept what I wrote in my appeal.
However, are they retarded, or is this just a proof that they actually flag account and manually reviews them? That would be a possibility if, in fact, my account remained flagged even after getting unbanned, because I obviously stopped hacking after getting perma banned once, smh...
Anyways, my new ban hit me about 30 minutes ago, and I'm sure I can convince them to unban me again, but still... Niantic doesn't seem to have the situation under control at all...
Anyone else who appealed and got unbanned have a similar story to share? My account is lvl 33 and got several 100% IV Pokemon.

did you use emulator after you got unban?
yea, I also read somewhere on reddit/here that some people also had the "failed to get data" message lifted (no appeal or anything), just to be hit with the actual perm ban.
"failed to get data" was more like a hold flag until they review your account, and removing the flag is not to unban you, but just so that they can replace the "hold flag" with a "perm ban flag" in place.

Would you mind sharing the email correspondence leading to them telling you that you will be unbanned? I think that would be very interesting to many people.

Did you get the "failed to get data" when you were banned the 1st and 2nd times?
Also, how long did your appeal take before getting unbanned?
Did you bot or spoof after you got unbanned?
Did you receive an email from Niantic once you were unbanned or did you just happen to try logging in?
Did you have Poke ++ installed on your phone?
Did you report a connection issue or ban appeal?
Sorry for the questions; I'm trying to understand the ban/unban process a bit better.:confused::confused:

Kinda expected questions so ill clear it all up for you guys.
No, no emulator/spoof after getting unbanned, I started receiving the "failed to retrieve data" error about 12h after the first implemented the new softban, being the capture/stop cap, so I think that's how they flag and review the accounts.
I instantly appealed (ban appeal, not the regular support ticket) and after about 35h I checked my appeal and the status was changed to "Solved" and I could log right back in, this time only using my phone.
It was all fine up until I earlier this night, as of right now the "failed to receive data" error is back, I've tried with other accounts and it's not server sided, it's a ban.
Regarding poke++, I don't even know what that is. I've got no apps on my phone that could comprise api calls to the PoGo server.

sounds like a case where they ran the same "find the botters" code again, which found your account again due to the account's history that flagged you in the first place is still there, and flag you again
you can probably appeal again, quoting previous appeal and win

My thoughts exactly, problem is; if I keep remaining flagged ill prolly get struck every time they decide to play with the ban hammer, which would just be fcking annoying. That's one of the reasons I'm starting to think that Niantic is just panicking atm, it's not like the black Tuesdays ban wave we had in WoW like half a decade ago (Fun fact, used the same appeal story to Niantic as I did to blizzard, just changed a few words, lmao).
This time I'm not going to instantly appeal tho, I'll wait a while and let the whole situation cool down before I appeal again.

With no text response? Where's the response?

They just put solve the ticket, without giving out any response...

But they are doing that for all tickets even login issues... with no response.
If you were able to login, it must have been an accident.

Yes, unfortunately.
My ticket got "Solved", while the problem still exists. Quite frustrating.

Well, accident seems way too Farfetch'd, get it? Even if they deny your appeal or accept it, the issue is still "Solved" regardless of the outcome.

lol why are you guys in here saying things like "its frustrating" when you know that botting will get you banned though, what did you expect? I think the people who survived are laying low. A majority of the gyms around New York (Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island) are completely bot free except for a few Bold idiots still proudly displaying their dragonite army...

Pretty sure he's pointing out that the frustrating part is the lack of explanation as to why the decide to ban, or if they even have banned you, as well as the lack of replies to appeals.
The least they can do is automate two messages and send them out depending on the outcome of the ticket/appeal.
