well heres a little info to make you abit happier mate haha, i got this error message for 7 days straight, i tried to log in this morning and i was able to, i actually thaught i was perma banned, but obviously not, i was botting like a crazy man on roids, sniping, 500kmh in walking speed, and somehow im still able to play, so no more botting for me on that account, although wasnt my main, but still lvl 36 with alot of pokemons and a shit load of stardust, so hopefully you are able to log back in, in a couple of days.

Really? you sure it was for 7 days? lol. Well, there is a really hope, but just won't make that hope too big just in case haha. I just tried to relogin but still get the failed to get data from server message. I'm mentally prepared for it to be a perma ban, but still, lets see what happens for the next days.

Finally!!! About 36h after i got the "Failed to get data from server" error on my three highest accounts (lvl38, 36 and 35) i was able to connect today again. I already thought i lost all my IV100 Dragonites

Really? Did you try anything else that might got it fixed?

So i think i am banned? i can log into the game and all that but if i hit a pokestop it just says try again later. and all pokemon run after 1 ball. any ideas?

Just a softban, you will be unbanned, just be patient.

Lol. The ban wave didn't start 7 days ago. It started like 3 to 4days ago

i got ban of my recently bought level 31 account which just bought 5 days ago from rpgstash .... so mean that i only using it for two day for gym battle without botting .....
my $40 gone .... so sad ..... all my botted account was ban too ( fail to get data from server )

THEN this morning when passthrough a gym , still saw my character defended the gym after 3 days .... lol ... my account still there but NIANTIC not allow us to login into it i think .... 3 days is damn torture ... ENOUGH PLEASE ....

Sometimes, I feel that niantic is really unfair. Why some people with lv35~38 were unbanned? My two accounts are just lv29 and 32 but all perma banned.

I think those who banned mostly using high lvl pokemon and often attacking gym

looking at different posts from across the internet, looks like there may be two kinds of bans from the current wave? A hard ban and perm ban. This is what ive pieced together so its not 100% legit but what i seem to notice is that a few people that got the "failed to server" thing got their accounts back after a bit (could be lies?) got it off easy with a temp hard ban, while others (like me) got a perm ban. I tried the appeal email which got me the email saying it was perm ban ( auto message?) but i did create another account with the same username. I think thats how you check if what banned you received. If i can use my old username again it must be that account got wiped so perm banned. I did also have my character in a gym before my ban, but has now disappeared, i dont know if my guy was knocked out or gone because it was deleted.

Try creating a new account with your old username. If you succeed, you've been banned.

still says my user name is in use... but cant log in on my lvl 35 with 7 100% dragonites 9 100% eevees and 6 100% magikarp

if it says "FAILED TO CONNECT SERVER: then u are BANNED PERM, if not then its not banned.. easy
