some rich guy comes on to the buy and sell page and gives real money to trade for the best pokemon. even if they put a CP limit eg; you can only trade with similar CP, it just costs him a bit of stardust to get a pinsir (with crappy skills and IV) the same cp lvl for a dragonite with awesome skills.
now lets add the botters in... the time it takes for Niantic to catch a botter and ban him isnt fast enough to stop them sniping and trading/selling their pokemon with a fake GPS location. even if they find a way to stop the mass of china trading sniped pokemon. they wont stop the average joe with 2 accounts (1 botting and 1 legit) snipes on the bot and gets 2 phones to transfer the botted pokemon to his legit account. the legit account could never be banned, even if theres suspicion, the person could just say he met someone playing at the park and traded with him.
TLDR
trading is taking the purpose out of the game and ruining it just as much as botting.
