Should I prioritise iv over cp?

Should I prioritize iv over cp?

Will that mean I could potentially lose my 600 Eevee for a 112 Eevee but with better IV? is that good? Would it not mean I would have to spend more Candies to boost the evolved pokemon?

Should I prioritise iv over cp?

It will cost you more stardust and candies but in the end it will be more powerful than your low IV Eevee. But dont forget that moveset is really important aswell....

Move set is first priority, a lower IV with the optimal moves will outclass a high iv with crappy moves, but you can't tell what the moves will be with evolves as they are randomized each time. So yes, for all the Dratinis and Eevee's IV is first priority, high CP is nice but you can always improve that over time, IV you can't change.

Posted this in another thread, but here it is again.

Gonna try to clear this up for you.
A lvl5 100% IV is weaker than a lvl25 40%. BUT, the 100% IV's potential is MUCH better. Once you've leveled the lvl5 up to 25, the CP difference is huge. And also the HP would be considerably better.
Therefore, always spend your candies and stardust on the ones with high IV rather than those with higher levels.
You can always level up, but you can't change the IV.

With that said, there's also the movesets.
Damage output of the better movesets are way better than the worst movesets.
So what you would want to do is to evolve a high IV (85+%) and check the movesets. If they are good, then level it up, if not then you'd better find another one rather than wasting your stardust/candies.

Not my calculations, got it from https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/c..._best_attacks/

Dragon Breath with both Dragon Claw gives 260 in 15 seconds, 17.3 dps
Steel Wing with second only Hyper Beam gives 190 in 15 seconds, 12.7 dps

If it's the same CP on both Dragonites, you'd loose out on some DPS with the worse movesets.

Can't find any research for IV vs movesets, so I got nothing to back up my claim. But I believe that a 85% Dragonite with Dragon Breath and Dragon Claw, is better than a 100% Steel wing/Hyper Beam one.

Hope this clear things up a bit.
