The API is cracked, yes, but not from any bot maker. It seems it has been cracked by some other 3rd party devs (map hosters) and they don't want to release it/share it with bot makers. Therefore as long as they don't agree and the bot makers can't manage to crack the API on their own, we won't see any bots. Even paid bots like Pokefarmer don't get an update, the devs don't give any updates, not even about this api crack situation...just nothing...i guess there is a reason for it.

Not entirely true. API is half cracked and they have yet to crack the hash function. FPM only needs the hash to be cracked and he will be done then it will be up to others to make the API. Will that happen? I dont know but lets hope it does.

The API that was leaked was incomplete. There is a new team who welcomes devs from the bot community and they are working on a full API and it will be properly released publicly this time around.

In the first place, I really don't know why these map scanner devs are pushing away bot devs/users when Niantic technically label bots/maps users as cheaters.
