I guess solved = you admit that you cheat (or they think you are indeed cheater) = perma banned?

not maybe. that is absolutely the case. if you submit an appeal for a botting/spoofing ban, you have confessed to cheating, and you will be permanently and irrefutably banned. no exceptions.

I agree with this in terms of confessing to a violation of TOS. With a player base this big I don't think you can easily make amends and we're way past the age of second chances.

However, imagine you are a legitimate player and you can't play for five days. During this time, you see people all around you playing normally. Wouldn't you be worried? Then you go searching for answers and all you can see are reports of people getting banned. If I was a legitimate player, contacting Niantic would be exactly the thing to do. You gain nothing by leaving the account behind, no real player that invested time in the game would do that.

There were successful appeals in other games, and we are yet to see how this plays out.

here's a thought for everyone.... why send a appeal when they have never even sent anyone anything saying they have been banned???

i don't think any contact with them is recommended if u have ran the bot and sniped and all that...but if you are going to try and appeal something that you have not even been served a email or in app popup ban message of some sort .... just use their norml support.
